Super Cedar asked a leading catalytic converter manufacturer to test the effect of Super Cedar Firestarters on the startup and operation of catalytic stoves. The chart on the right illustrates the results. See explanation and letter below the charts for interpretation.
The lift-off test shows that the Super Cedar Firestarters actually HELPED the stove and catalytic converter temperatures climb faster than with regular kindling techniques. Just as important, Super Cedar Firestarters had no detrimental effects on the catalytic activity during the entire test run. The exact document received from the manufacturer is below:

Here is the letter of approval for product. We were very pleased with how it improved the start-up time of the stove and in the long run will lower the amount of pollutants emitted from the stove. The starters were tested in several stoves that myself and other employees own. The results were comparable with each stove and model. The super starters made it easier to start the stove and to reach the point of light-off for the combustor. Everyone enjoyed using the super starters and expressed interest in using more in the future. This says a lot when thinking that these are people who have owned catalytic stoves all of their days of burning and if your product helped them it should help new stove owners even more.
